Sleep Survey 2023:Unveiling America's Sleep Struggles and Concerns

A lot of emphasis has been placed on maintaining physical health and practicing self-care, and having quality sleep will be very necessary to achieve this. People who generally experience poor-quality sleep are more prone to health problems. In addition, insufficient sleep can cause problems at work and school and in people's social relationships.
In a survey conducted by USNEWS, accessible through this link "U.S. News & World Report Sleep Habits, Preferences Consumer Survey 2023", 1,200 American adults were studied so that the quality of sleep, sleep habits, and preferences of people at bedtime were examined. The results of this survey show that most Americans have problems sleeping and cannot experience quality sleep.
In this survey, it has been shown that most Americans have worries while sleeping. At the time of this test, economic problems, COVID-19, gun violence, climate change, and presidential elections were the main concerns of people. Another noteworthy point in this survey is the bad habits that most people have. For example, using a mobile phone, overeating, sleeping with the TV on, and not having a regular bedtime. Although in the last case, not having a regular sleep time, nearly 73% of people declared that they have a fixed schedule for their sleep. In this survey, the sleep disorders experienced by people were 43% insomnia, 25% restless leg syndrome, and 17% sleep apnea.
